Toneburst 6, a semi-regular festival of new improvised and electronic music will be held for the first time at the Salvage Vanguard Theater, Saturday night, February 23rd, starting at 8PM. This show will be a benefit for the Commercial Suicide radio show, presented by The Church of the Friendly Ghost and Koop Radio. The line up for TB 6 includes solo and group performances by local experimental musicians such as Nick Hennies, Alex Keller, Aaron Russell/Sandy Ewen, Brent Fariss/Sarah Norris, Thomas Fang, Rick Reed, and Travis Weller & ensemble. As always, expect flashing lights, video projections, loud and soft sounds of a very weird, yet strangely beautiful tonality. Be sure to pack your bags, because we're going on a trip!
There will also be refreshments, a fundraising raffle of artwork, musical equipment, Cd's, Scores, and other items of interest, with all proceeds going towards the rebuilding of Koop Radio, which if you don't know, suffered yet another devastating fire January 6th of this year. Come one, come all.
